Patios and outdoors can be just as festive and decorative as the inside of a home especially during the holidays. With a few creative upgrades, these outdoor areas can become cozy welcoming areas for the family and their guests. For entertaining or hosting, relaxing or simply enjoying the winters, a well-decorated patio can enhance the experience. 

Keep it free of clutter – Clean and tidy patios and outdoors are always pleasing to the eye. Do a thorough sweep of the surface, store items that aren’t needed for the season and wipe the furniture. Rearrange the seating so as to encourage conversations.

Make it entertainment ready – When hosting outdoors, it is important to keep it ready for guests. Set up a beverage station or a serving area so that guests can help themselves. Use insulated drink containers and sturdy trays, place them on benches and side tables that are in convenient spots. 

Always pay attention to safety by keeping the heaters and cords away from the traffic. Keep the area adequately lit for guests to move around.
